Jay Herron has worked in the software engineering and energy efficiency fields since 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Barista at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort and as a Bookstore Attendant at the University of Puget Sound. From 2011 to 2016, they worked as an Energy Efficiency Analyst and Intern at ETC Group, LLC. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at BuildingFit as a Software Architect and Software Engineer/Mathematician. In 2021, they joined PassiveLogic as the Head of Cloud Software and Software Engineer/Cloud Team Lead. In this role, they are responsible for designing and implementing the first high-level API for buildings using GraphQL and server-side Swift. Jay has also made numerous contributions to open source server-side Swift projects.
Jay Herron attended the University of Puget Sound from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics. In 2016, they received a SkySpark Essentials Certification from SkyFoundry. In 2018, they obtained a SkySpark Certified Professional Trainer certification, as well as Certificates in Practical Time Series Analysis and Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates.
