Diego Andrade

Diego Andrade has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Diego is currently the Director of Computational Engineering at Pasteur Labs & ISI since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Scientist at ANT Automation from December 2019 to April 2022. Diego also held the position of Scientific Researcher at Nicolalde R&D LLC from August 2018 to December 2019, and Adjunct Professor at the University of South Florida from August 2017 to August 2018.

Diego's earlier experience includes working as a Doctoral Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2012 to May 2017. Before pursuing their doctorate, they served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at PA Breaker from June 2008 to May 2012, where they were responsible for managing various aspects of high voltage circuit breaker designs and product line coordination. Prior to that, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Siemens from January 2006 to June 2008, focusing on the development of a new 3D Human Machine Interface for automation products and providing technical support to clients.

Diego began their career as a Junior Mechanical Engineer at Merk Sharp & Dohme in January 2001. Diego also completed an internship at Oxy in the summer of 2000. Diego's diverse work experience showcases their expertise in computational engineering, scientific research, teaching, mechanical engineering, and systems engineering.

Diego Andrade obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering from the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Diego then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, attending from 2003 to 2005. Diego's education journey continued with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed from 2012 to 2017. In addition, they acquired a certification in Duolingo German Fluency: Elementary (Estimated) from Duolingo in July 2016.
