Mike Cushing

Mike Cushing is the Security Operations Manager for Global Information Security at Patagonia. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the IT field.

Mike started their career in IT as a Bookkeeper/Technical Support for GSMC, Inc. in 1999. Mike then worked as a Customer Service Representative for Skate Street Ventura before becoming a Business Technical Support Specialist for Verizon in 2003. In 2005, Mike took on the role of Systems Administrator III for the County of Ventura.

In 2012, Mike joined Patagonia as a Global Information Security Analyst. In their current role as Security Operations Manager, Mike is responsible for managing Patagonia's security operations team and developing strategies to protect the company's data and systems.

Mike Cushing has an AA in Liberal Arts from Ventura College, a Business Administration & Management degree from California State University, Northridge, and a Diploma from Buena High School. Mike also has certification from GIAC in GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), (ISC)² in CISSP, GIAC Certifications in GIAC Advisory Board, and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH).
