Brennan Spellacy

Brennan Spellacy began their career in 2013 as a Web Developer at New York University, where their primary role was to aid in the development of the on-boarding program for training new employees. In 2014, they moved to Shopify as a Web Developer on the merchant analytics team, where they worked with the Ruby on Rails application and Shopify’s proprietary javascript framework. Brennan also designed and developed interactive data visualizations with d3. In 2015, they joined McGill University as a Web Developer, initially working to optimize development of OpenPNM, a python package used for modeling porous media. Brennan then shifted towards developing an application to fit experimental data to pore-size distributions. In 2016, they joined Sonder Inc. as a Senior Product Manager, then a Product Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. In their role as Software Engineer, they built the first version of Sonder's proprietary inventory management system and launched their first distribution center in under three months. Finally, in 2020, they co-founded and became the CEO of Patch, where they are building infrastructure for the sustainable economy.

Brennan Spellacy obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering from McGill University.
