Bill Letson

Bill Letson serves as a Scientific Advisor for Japanese Encephalitis at PATH since November 2016 and holds the position of Medical Director at El Paso County Public Health since July 2012, where responsibilities include consulting on public health issues and leading the Communicable Diseases Investigation Team. Prior experience includes serving as a Public Health Consultant at SBLetson LLC, where involvement included participation on the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations IRC panel and engagement in dengue epidemiologic research. Bill Letson was also Deputy Director at the Pediatric Dengue Vaccine Initiative, contributing to the establishment of field sites for studying dengue disease burden in Asia and Latin America, some of which were utilized for vaccine trials. Educationally, Bill Letson obtained an MD in Pediatric Infectious Diseases/Public Health from the University of Colorado School of Medicine from 1977 to 1981.
