Dr. Albert Komba is a public health physician and project management specialist with over 15 years of experience in leading HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, and health systems strengthening programs across East and Southern Africa. Currently serving as Project Director for the SAFEStart+ Project at PATH, they provide strategic and technical leadership for a global initiative aimed at eliminating vertical transmission of infections. Previously, they held significant roles, including Project Director for the $104M USAID Sauti Project, managing over 400 staff and numerous local partners. Dr. Komba earned an MPH from The Johns Hopkins University and has expertise in program design, stakeholder engagement, and systems change, consistently advocating for improved health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
