Jennifer Anstadt is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in vaccine development and infectious diseases research. Currently serving as a Program Advisor at PATH since May 2022, Anstadt focuses on the Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access within the Polio Disease Area. Previously, from March 2015 to April 2022, Anstadt led the Vaccine Development Team at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, directing efforts to advance vaccines for poliovirus and other picornaviruses. Anstadt's academic foundation includes a PhD in Microbiology & Immunology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Biology from Fairfield University. Additionally, academic roles include a Research Instructor in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Anstadt investigated reovirus pathogenesis and neural tropism.
