John Bawa

John Bawa is a seasoned professional in the field of public health and vaccine implementation, currently serving as the Chief of Party and Director of Malaria Vaccine Implementation/VI Lead for West Africa at PATH since August 2013. Bawa has held multiple leadership roles, including Africa Lead for Vaccine Implementation at the Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access and various Country Coordinator positions focused on malaria and HPV vaccine initiatives in Ghana. With a comprehensive background in managing significant health initiatives such as the "Making Every Baby Count Initiative" and the USAID MalariaCare program, Bawa has extensive experience in improving health outcomes through capacity strengthening and program management. Previous positions include Project Manager at the Malaria Research Center at KCCR/KNUST and Health Service Administrator at St. Martins Hospital. Educational qualifications include an EMBA in Strategic & Project Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management and a BSc in Planning and Development Policy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
