Julia Mwesigwa

Julia Mwesigwa is a seasoned researcher specializing in malaria and neglected tropical diseases, currently serving as a Senior Research Officer at PATH since October 2020. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at MRC Unit The Gambia at LSHTM and Clinical Epidemiologist at the Medical Research Council (UK) in The Gambia. Julia's academic background includes a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Antwerp, focused on the spatio-temporal dynamics of malaria, as well as advanced training in epidemiological analysis from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Additional qualifications include a Master's degree in Epidemiology from Makerere University and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Mbarara University of Science & Technology.
