Leander Lauffer

Leander Lauffer has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, currently serving as Retired at PATH MVI since December 2018 while also holding the position of Senior Commercialization Officer and Head of Business Development at The PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative since 2008. Prior to this role, Leander was the Senior VP of Business Development and Corporate Strategy at Trubion Pharmaceuticals from 2005 to 2008 and held the position of VP of Business Development at Chiron Corporation between 1997 and 2004. Early in the career, Leander worked as VP of Business Development for the Business Unit Vaccines at Behringwerke AG from 1995 to 1996. Educational qualifications include a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Protein Chemistry/Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine, a Dr. rer. nat. in Biology from Freie Universität Berlin, and a Diplombiologe in Biology from the University of Konstanz.
