Nima Gard

Nima Gard has been in the field of computer vision and AI since 2013. Nima began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Amirkabir Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing Lab (Attain) in 2013. From 2014 to 2017, they held the role of Graduate Research Associate at the Photogrammetric Computer Vision Lab and the Geospatial Data Analytics Group. In 2016, they were a Marketing Intern at 889 Global Solutions and a Business Development at PixElement, where they modeled and built repeatable service operations, sales procedure, and sales funnel reports, assisted in developing comprehensive call lists for the sales staff, and created presentations and a pitch deck for potential clients and investors. In 2018, they held the role of Data Scientist Intern at Huntington National Bank and Graduate Research Associate at Automated Driving Lab. Since 2019, they have been the 3D Computer Vision and AI Lead and Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Path Robotics.

Nima Gard received a Diploma from the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (NODET) in Mathematics/Physics from 2003 to 2010. Nima then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic from 2010 to 2014. From 2014 to 2017, Nima Gard earned a Master of Science in Geodetic Engineering and a Minor in Business Administration and Management, General from The Ohio State University. Finally, from 2017 to 2019, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Geodetic Engineering and a Minor in Applied Statistics from The Ohio State University.
