Xuezhao Lan

Lan Xuezhao is the Founder and Managing Partner of Basis Set, a position held since September 2017. Additionally, Lan serves as a Board Member and Seed Investor at CuspAI and has invested in various startups, including Quince, Ergeon, Workstream, Path Robotics, and Rasa since their early stages. Lan's investment approach typically involves leading seed rounds and providing the first check to promising ventures. Prior experience includes a role as Head of Corporate Development Strategy at Dropbox, where responsibilities encompassed strategic M&A and product management. Earlier, Lan worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, focusing on marketing and strategy projects for significant clients. Academically, Lan holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and an MA in Statistics from the University of Michigan, along with studies at Harvard University.
