Robert Peacock

Robert Peacock is currently a Principal Software Engineer at PathAI. From 2007 to 2020, they were a Senior Technical Manager at Tripadvisor, where they led the Site Operations team and was responsible for the performance, monitoring and scalability of the entire site. Robert also led projects to modernize the company's infrastructure, improve agility, and enhance release reliability. These projects included replacing email alerting and homegrown reports with Prometheus, Graphite and Grafana; moving provisioning from bash scripts to ansible and RPMs; and migrating log shipping from cron jobs and rsync to Kafka and Java consumers.

From 2000 to 2007, Peacock was a Software Engineer at Transacttools, Inc, where they were the primary developer of ttAlert, a monitoring platform for creating monitoring solutions for their FIX engine. Robert was also a developer for ttConnect, a FIX engine, and worked on the C++ client for ttConnect as well as the CMS protocol plugin. In addition, Peacock developed ttCert, a testing tool for FIX engines that enabled trading firms to ensure successful connectivity with other firms.

Prior to working at Transacttools, Inc, Peacock was a Software Engineer at DoubleClick from 1998 to 2000.
