Chris Hagan

CTO at Pathify

Chris is the Chief Technology Officer and joined Pathify in November 2018. Chris has worked in the educational technology sector for almost 20 years, both in an embedded role within Monash University and in a consultancy context. Prior to joining Pathify, Chris rose to Solutions Architect at Monash University and was a core member of the Architectural Review Board. He also worked as the Enterprise Architect for the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, the Australian government department which is responsible for retirement funds across the military and government.

Chris was the lead architect of MeTL, an open-source whiteboard virtualization system. MeTL was the recipient of the Victorian Excellence in Technology award for 2011 and 2012.

Chris also co-authored multiple papers in the domain of educational technology and pedagogy, and guest lectured in technology at Saint Leo University.

His formal qualifications are in Health (Nursing), and his professional practice was in mental health and emergency room patient management. Outside of the educational technology space, Chris’s technology domains have covered econometrics, data imaging, biology and machine learning. He was the founder of Stackable Regiments, an education technology consultancy, which also consulted with ADP around legacy software language and system uplift.
