Veronica Calvo

Veronica Calvo has extensive work experience in the field of translational biology and oncology. Veronica currently holds the position of Director of Translational Biology at Pathos since August 2022. Before that, they worked as the Director of Translational Oncology at HiberCell from April 2021 to August 2022, and as a Principal Scientist at HiberCell from July 2018 to April 2021.

Prior to their role at HiberCell, Veronica held several postdoctoral positions. Veronica worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Eli Lilly and Company from October 2017 to July 2018. Before that, they held the same position at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from April 2013 to October 2017. Veronica also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from February 2011 to April 2013 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at VALL D'HEBRON INSTITUT D'ONCOLOGIA from July 2010 to December 2010.

At the beginning of their career, Veronica worked as an R+D Researcher at Biosystems S.A. from January 2009 to January 2010. Overall, Veronica Calvo has a strong background in translational biology and oncology, with experience in both research and leadership roles.

Veronica Calvo completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Pharmacy/Biochemistry from the Universitat de Barcelona, spanning from 1998 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedicine at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, which they successfully obtained from 2003 to 2009.
