David Whitman

David Whitman has a diverse work experience in software engineering, with a focus on mobile development and Android app development. David has held various roles in different companies, starting from their most recent position as a Senior Software Engineer at Pathwave since 2022.

Prior to that, they worked at Mi9 Retail from 2018 to 2022 as a Senior Mobile Developer, where they single-handedly developed a complex native Android app using Kotlin Coroutines and followed a Redux-like architecture. The app facilitated the picking of grocery items into totes.

Before joining Mi9 Retail, David worked at MyWebGrocer from 2015 to 2018. David started as a Mobile Developer and then took on the role of Lead Mobile Developer. During their time there, they were involved in reskinning a web product's user interface and incorporating a new SSO implementation for an online grocery shopping website. David also worked on a flagship product rewrite, utilizing Twitter Bootstrap as a customizable UI framework.

David's earlier experience includes working at Fortech as a Software Engineer from 2014 to 2015, primarily focusing on Android development. At Fortech, they led the development of an internal meeting room booking app and participated in a hackathon project involving a material design reimagining of a client's app.

Additionally, David had internship experiences at MyWebGrocer in 2011 and 2010, during which they gained hands-on experience in software engineering, including rewriting and optimizing company intranet using ASP.net and C#.
