Amar Setty

Amar Setty is the CEO and co-founder of Patient Premier, a healthcare data analytics and medical imaging company. Amar has also served as the co-CEO of AnesthesiaStat Consulting and Perioperative Management, a medical technology consulting firm, for 18 years. Setty is also an anesthesiologist and has worked in the healthcare industry for over three decades.

Born in India, Setty immigrated to the United States in the 1970s to pursue a career in medicine. Amar earned their medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and completed their residency in anesthesiology at Georgetown University Hospital. Amar began their career as an anesthesiologist at GBMC HealthCare, where they worked for three years before moving into healthcare administration.

In 2000, Setty co-founded AnesthesiaStat Consulting and Perioperative Management, which provides guidance, departmental support, and perioperative logistics management to hospitals and anesthesia departments. The company also helps evaluate options for practice expansion, sale, or strategic partnership.

In 2007, Setty co-founded Patient Premier, a healthcare data analytics and medical imaging company that provides patient engagement and management solutions to empower patients, physicians, and health systems. The company offers an evolving suite of services that includes tools for secure communications, mobile text signup, and billing CRM. Patient Premier also provides medical imaging deep learning solutions to help advance low cost, integrated patient care.

Amar Setty has an MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and did their anesthesiology residency at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
