Mark Williamson has a wealth of experience in the software engineering industry. Mark began their career in 1997 at Howard College as a Web Site Author. Mark then moved to The University of Texas at El Paso in 2002, where they held the positions of Peer Facilitator, Student Software Developer, and Computer Science Teaching Assistant. In 2003, they were hired as a Web Application Developer (Senior Programmer) at the same university, where they co-managed up to 12 student software developers. In 2006, they moved to Texas Tech University where they held the roles of Assistant Managing Director, Graduate Software Engineer (Programmer/Analyst II), Graduate Software Engineer (Programmer/Analyst III), and Graduate Software Engineer (Programmer/Analyst IV). In 2020, they joined The University of Texas at Dallas as a Software Systems Specialist IV and then moved to PatientsLikeMe, LLC. where they held the roles of Lead Software Engineer, Senior Full Stack Engineer, and Senior Director of Engineering. In their current role, they are responsible for code contributions, overseeing leadership opportunities for teams within the feature development area, and improving and safeguarding the stability of the CI/CD system to streamline development efforts.

Mark Williamson has a diverse educational background. Mark received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2005. Mark then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2009. Mark also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business in 2010. Currently, Williamson is enrolled in Software Engineering courses at Trailhead by Salesforce.
