Sami Oja

Sami Oja is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in research and development, particularly within the automotive and motorsport industries. Currently serving as an R&D Manager at Patria since January 2024, Oja previously held the position of Manager at SO Engineering since June 2009, where tailored services for industrial needs and motorsport were provided. Oja's expertise includes suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, and R&D program management, honed during a tenure as R&D Senior Design Engineer at Patria Land Systems from February 2005 to January 2024. In addition, Oja has experience as a lecturer at Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, a test engineer for armored vehicles at Patria Vehicles, and an engineer trainee at Bentley Motors Ltd. Oja began a career in the automotive sector at Opel Oy Finland, providing technical and logistic support. Oja holds an MSc in Automotive from the University of Hertfordshire.
