Robert Amen has extensive work experience in the investment and software industries. Robert began their career in 1999 as a Managing Director at Vector Capital, where they led investments in application software, focusing on vertical end markets, industry roll-ups, and corporate spinouts. Currently, they serve on the boards of Cambium Networks, Patron Technology, MoxiWorks, CloudSense, IPValue Management, and Keap in various directorial and leadership roles. Robert was also the Chairman of the Board at Cambium Networks. Prior to their role at Vector Capital, Robert held director positions at CollabNet, Inc. and Corel Corporation. In 2021, they joined McGraw Hill as a Director. Robert's expertise lies in strategic investments, board leadership, and driving growth in software companies.
Robert Amen attended Miramonte High School from 1988 to 1992, where they did not earn a degree or specialize in a particular field of study. Robert then pursued their undergraduate education at Stanford University, graduating in 1996 with an AB in History and Economics. Continuing their education, Robert obtained an MBA from The Wharton School, specializing in Finance, from 2002 to 2004.
