Precious Nyabami has a range of work experience in research and agriculture. PRECIOUS is currently a Research Associate at Pattern Ag, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida from July 2020 to September 2022, where they developed a research project on nutrient recycling and carbon sequestration in Florida vegetable systems. PRECIOUS also supervised and mentored undergraduate research assistants.
Before their role at the University of Florida, Precious worked as a Research Assistant at the School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska Lincoln from September 2019 to May 2020. PRECIOUS also interned at One Acre Fund as an Intern in Research and Innovation from May 2019 to August 2019, where they conducted a megaphone trial and assessed responses using qualitative data analysis methods.
Prior to that, Precious interned at the University of Nebraska from May 2018 to March 2019, and at the Nebraska Wheat Improvement Project from May 2017 to August 2017. At these internships, their work involved collecting data, conducting trials, and contributing to the development of improved crop varieties.
Precious Nyabami pursued a Master of Science degree in Soil and Water Science with a concentration in Tropical Conservation and Development at the University of Florida from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this, they attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2016 to 2020, where they pursued a degree in Integrated Science, specializing in conservation agriculture, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
