David Bussian

David joined Pattern as VP of Research & Development in June of 2017. He brings over 15 years’ of research and development experience. Prior to joining Pattern, David held leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Luminex. While at Luminex, he led teams responsible for product development across the maturity continuum from early technology assessment to commercialization. This included the launch of multiple regulated products (CE-IVD, IVD) in the US and abroad. David has also contributed to the development of advanced DNA sequencing technologies at Life Technologies and held a Distinguished Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Center of Integrated Nanotechnologies at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

David holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska with High Honors and a Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
