Ross Johnson

Ross is a leader in Pattern’s long-term technical vision and provides strategic oversight of key aspects of Pattern’s diagnostic platform. Over the past decade, he has seven issued patents and four patents pending. He is an expert in droplet microfluidics with eleven years’ experience developing FDA-cleared products and technologies. Prior to co-founding Pattern, Ross served as a senior mechanical engineer at Luminex Corporation where he won the company’s “Top Inventor” award in 2010 and again in 2014 (as co-inventor with Nick). Ross has an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with Honors from the University of New Mexico.
