Michael Venter

Michael Venter has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering industry since 2006. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Data Capturer at Absa Vehicle Finance. In 2010, they joined Active Ice Digital Studio as a Web Designer/Developer, where they started learning development. In 2013, they moved to Refresh Creative Media as a Web Developer, where they worked with and learned PHP and WordPress development. In 2014, they joined Hero Cape Town as a Senior Web Developer/Team Lead/HOD, where their responsibilities included attending client meetings, taking lead on large projects, and overseeing development. In 2019, they joined LAB LATERAL LTD as a Senior Frontend Developer, where their responsibilities included taking lead on big projects and mentoring their peers. Finally, in 2021, they joined SrsBsns as a Lead Developer, where they headed the development of a new HSP Occupational Health and Safety management portal and built a new portal for KUSA (Kennel Union of South Africa). Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Pattern Matched Technologies\u2122.

Michael Venter completed a Diploma in 3D Design and Animation from Prestige Academy in 2006. Michael previously attended JG Meiring High School from 1999 to 2004. Additionally, they obtained a Git Essential Training certification from LinkedIn in March 2018.
