SEO & Analytics Department Director at Pattern

Kathryn McKelvie has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kathryn began their career as a Marketing Assistant at Smarter Grid Solutions in 2014, where they gained experience in drafting press releases, assisting with rebranding, and managing social media presence. Kathryn also utilized Google Analytics, Umbraco content management system, Google AdWords, and Lead Forensics software for digital marketing purposes.

In 2015, McKelvie joined Equator as an SEO Executive, contributing to search engine optimization efforts. Kathryn then moved on to Reprise Digital in 2017, where they worked as a Digital Solutions Executive, implementing SEO tactics for major finance and retail clients. Kathryn was recognized for their outstanding performance, winning Employee of the Quarter and being shortlisted for an entry in Ngen's 2017 MFA Award.

At Reprise Digital, McKelvie progressed to the role of Owned Senior Executive, taking on the responsibility of leading SEO strategy for nationally recognizable brands. Kathryn was also a product champion for YouTube optimization within the company. In 2019, they transitioned to the role of Digital Specialist at Reprise Digital, continuing to contribute to SEO strategies.

Most recently, Kathryn McKelvie joined Pattern® International in 2020. Kathryn started as a Search Engine Optimization Manager, where they provided technical SEO recommendations and acted as the SEO strategy lead for national ecommerce brands. Kathryn subsequently advanced to become the SEO Department Director and, later, the SEO & Analytics Department Director in 2022.

Throughout their career, McKelvie has demonstrated their expertise in SEO, data visualization, and YouTube audit. Kathryn received the internal Game Changer award in 2020 at Pattern® International for their innovative ideas and contributions to data reporting. Kathryn also played a significant role in redesigning weekly and monthly Data Studio reports across all digital channels for clients.

Kathryn McKelvie completed their undergraduate education at the University of Strathclyde from 2010 to 2014, earning an IB degree with a focus on Marketing and Economics. During their time at university, Kathryn also participated in a semester abroad program at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2012 to 2013, studying International Business. In terms of additional certifications, Kathryn obtained the Google Adwords Certification in Mobile Advertising and Shopping Advertising in March of 2017. Kathryn also obtained the GAIQ certification from Google Analytics in September of 2015. In January of 2014, Kathryn earned an edX Honor Code Certificate for the course "Age of Globalization" offered by edX.
