Sivananda Rajananda

Sivananda Rajananda has a diverse work experience spanning from 2011 to the present. They currently work as a Data Scientist at Pattern® since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Science/Machine Learning Intern at ASML in 2021. From 2019 to 2020, Rajananda was a Research Associate at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and from 2017 to 2019, they were a Lab Manager and Programmer at the University of California, Riverside. In 2017, they also worked as a Research Associate at UCLA, where they developed a fully-customizable Random Dot Kinematogram (RDK) plugin in JavaScript and designed and launched online experiments. Before that, from 2015 to 2016, Rajananda served as a Resident Assistant at the Office of Residential Life at UCLA. They also held the role of Global Siblings Program Family Coordinator at the UCLA Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars during the same period, where they planned and conducted various events for multinational students. In 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Human Perception Lab, also at UCLA. Prior to their time at UCLA, Rajananda had various roles, including Internal Vice President of the Malaysian Students Association at UCLA in 2014, where they organized cultural events and fundraisers, and Platoon Commander (Lieutenant) in the Singapore Armed Forces from 2011 to 2012, where they led and managed large groups of personnel in various exercises.

Sivananda Rajananda began their education at Raffles Institution from 2007 to 2010, where they pursued A-Levels in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Knowledge & Inquiry. They then attended UCLA from 2013 to 2017 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Computing. During their time at UCLA, they also participated in two additional programs: Aerie Backcountry Medicine in 2016, through the University of Montana, and Seamester in 2014, through the University of South Florida.

In 2020, Sivananda Rajananda enrolled at Harvard University and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science in 2021.

Alongside their formal education, Sivananda Rajananda has pursued various certifications. They obtained certifications such as Image Processing with Python, Natural Language Processing in Python, and SQL Fundamentals from DataCamp in 2022. In 2020, they obtained the "Deep Neural Networks with PyTorch" certification with honors from Coursera. Prior to that, they completed courses in Data Visualization and Communication with Tableau, Python for Data Science, SQL for Data Science from Coursera between 2018 and 2019. Additionally, Sivananda Rajananda obtained the "Excel 2016 Essential Training" certification from Lynda.com in 2018.
