Michael Oar

Michael Oar is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in failure analysis and material science. Currently serving as the Lead Failure Analysis Engineer at PAX Labs, Inc., Michael focuses on the failure analysis of vape pods and cartridges, employing advanced techniques such as thermal imaging and X-Ray CT analysis. Prior to this role, Michael was a Managing Scientist at Exponent Failure Analysis Associates, where expertise was applied to improve polymer materials, textiles, electronics, and optics. Michael also held various engineering positions at TE Connectivity, specializing in conductive inks, optoelectronic packaging materials, and elastomers. Michael's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Linfield University, complemented by valuable research experience at Northwestern University.
