Fred Amrein

Fred Amrein is the founder of PayForED. He saw the lack of information available for parents and students to fully understand how to pay for college. The current process was resulting in higher debt for most student loan borrowers and confusion regarding their student loan repayment options.

Fred is a nationally recognized expert in the college funding and student loan repayment process. He has over 30 years of combined corporate finance, technology and personal financial planning expertise that merges into his unique approach to help students and parents envision the financial outcome of a college education. Fred developed the first comprehensive college funding and student loan repayment software suite. He brings together the financial aid process, college savings plans, educational strategies, student financing and loan repayment options. His mission in founding PayForED is to prevent and solve the student debt crisis.

Fred has a BS in Accounting and Marketing and an MBA in Finance from St. Joseph’s University. He is a former board member of the National College Advocacy Group (NCAC). As an expert in his field, Fred is the author of a book and various CFP-approved training programs. He has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, US News, as well as other national publications. He enjoys golf and tennis in his free time.
