John Macris

John Macris has a diverse and extensive work experience. John began their career at Gemini Systems, Inc in 1995 as a Senior Consultant and remained in this role until 1998. John then joined The Boston Consulting Group as an Associate for a brief period in 1999. In 2000, they transitioned to Capital One, where they worked as a Senior Director for almost eight years. In 2008, they ventured into entrepreneurship and founded Magpie Partners, serving as the CEO until 2009. John then joined Western Union as the Director of Customer Strategy from 2009 to 2011. John subsequently served as the Head of Fraud Modeling at Lloyds Banking Group from 2011 to 2013. John's next role was at Barclaycard, where they worked as the Chief Risk Officer for UK Cards from 2013 to 2016. John then joined Aliya Financial Technologies as the Chief Risk Officer from 2016 to 2021. Currently, John holds the position of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Tongo, which they began in January 2021.
