Emily Shap

Emily Shap is a seasoned professional in environmental health and hazardous materials management, currently serving as a Hazardous Materials Specialist at the LA Co Fire Department since 2019. With extensive experience at the California Department of Public Health as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist since 2001, and prior roles including Ventura County Environmental Health from 2015 to 2019, Emily has a strong background in hazardous materials compliance and inspections. Earlier in their career, Emily worked as an Environmental Health Specialist for the County of Ventura, focusing on community services and inspections. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from California State University, Northridge, obtained between 1997 and 2000.
