Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith has over two decades of work experience in various roles. Matthew started their career as a Graduate Trainee at TSB Bank Ltd in 1995. Matthew then worked as a Business Analyst at NFU Mutual from 1997 to 2000, at Protocol Systems from 2000 to 2002, and at FIS from 2002 to 2004.

At FIS, they held multiple roles including Card Solutions Project Manager from 2004 to 2011, Head of Project Management - Card Solutions from 2011 to 2013, Delivery Director - Banking & Card Processing from 2013 to 2016, Senior Project Manager for the EMEA Payments Division from 2016 to 2018, and Senior Project Manager for Card Processing from 2018 to 2023.

Matthew is currently working as a Project Director at Paymentology, a position they have held since July 2023.

Matthew Smith attended Sheffield College from 1991 to 1993, where they pursued a Btec degree in Banking & Finance. Matthew then went on to study at Loughborough University from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bsc Honours degree in the same field of study.
