David Messerschmidt is a Senior Engineering Manager overseeing the Application Security program at PayPal, managing security across multiple business units including Braintree and Venmo. They have previously held significant roles at McDonald’s Corporation and Deloitte, and have contributed to security initiatives at over 15 Fortune 500 companies in various fields, including application security and incident response. David's career began with earlier positions in IT support and audio-visual technology. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business, Information Systems, and Information Technology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
