George Wang

George Wang is an accomplished AI Research Scientist at PayPal since October 2020, where responsibilities include leading AI/ML technology research and development and representing the company at major conferences. Previously, George served as a Visiting Scientist at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing, focusing on optimization and multi-agent deep reinforcement learning, and held positions as a Staff Research Scientist/Tech Lead at SUNMI and as a Senior Research Scientist at Siemens Healthineers, contributing significantly to advancements in computer vision and medical imaging. Early career experience includes consulting for Jump Labs, a Research Assistant role at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and internships at Google, Siemens Corporate Research, FX Palo Alto Laboratory, and Microsoft Research, where innovative algorithms and systems were developed.
