Hemant Murarka is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in data products and engineering management. Currently serving as the Head of Merchant Data Products Engineering at PayPal since January 2022, Hemant previously led Data Engineering at Lyft from September 2019 to January 2022, where strategic vision and operational improvements significantly reduced overhead and costs. During a tenure at Autodesk from March 2012 to August 2019, Hemant managed teams focused on building advanced data platforms and ensuring compliance with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation. Hemant also contributed to centralized marketing and preference management implementations at Autodesk and held engineering roles at NII Holdings, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Cognizant. Hemant holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Binghamton University.
