Dave Lavers

Dave Lavers has a long history of work experience. Dave began their career in 2008 as a Database Administrator and Developer for IceAnt Systems, a business created by their son. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as an Open Source Architect and Developer for Washoe County School District. Dave then moved to Thunder Valley Casino Resort as a Database Architect and Administrator from 2010 to 2011. After that, they worked as a Microsoft Examination Architect for Studio B from 2011 to 2012, and as a Database Infrastructure Architect for T-Systems International from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2021, they worked as a Business Owner for Panther Valley Imports, and is currently the Vice President of Business Development for PayPossible.

Dave Lavers has a long and varied educational history. Dave began their studies in 1969 at Acadia University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Psychology. Dave then attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 1974 to 1976, where they earned a Technology Diploma in Structural Engineering. After this, they attended Dalhousie University from 1978 to 1980, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Industrial Engineering. In 2008, they took two credit courses in Paralegal Studies at Western Nevada College, followed by three credit courses in Paralegal Studies at Truckee Meadows Community College in 2010. Dave then took four credit courses in Business at the College of Southern Nevada in 2016. Most recently, they have been enrolled at Western Governors University, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA IT) in 2021 and is currently in progress for a Master of Science in Data Analytics, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
