Raman Yakkala has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles. Raman started their career at eBay as a Buyer Experience Senior Manager and Principal SW Engineer, where they managed development teams and played a key role in designing and supporting the eBay site.
In 2010, Raman joined Walmart eCommerce as a Sr. Engineering Manager, where they built and managed a global team of 40 professionals. Raman customized e-commerce products, built RESTful web services, and partnered with Search BE teams to improve search engine effectiveness.
Afterward, Raman moved to Apigee in 2012 as a Director of Engineering. Raman directed teams in providing architecture and engineering solutions for Apigee products, including designing and supporting the Apigee Insights platform leveraging AWS Cloud.
Currently, Raman is the Vice President of Engineering at PayRange since 2014. Raman manages various engineering projects and multi-disciplined teams across different locations. Raman implemented a mobile payment solution for vending, parking, transit ticketing, laundry, and amusement by installing PayRange BluKey, enabling machines to accept mobile payments via Bluetooth by utilizing AWS Cloud.
Raman Yakkala has a diverse education history in the field of computer science and artificial intelligence. In 2013, Raman briefly attended Stanford University, where they focused on machine learning. Although no degree was obtained, this experience likely provided a strong foundation in the subject. Following this, Raman pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at Arizona State University, but the start and end years are unknown. Finally, they completed a Master of Technology degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Hyderabad, also with no specified start or end years.
