Walt Macnee is a Non-Executive Director at Paysafe. Walt was previously the Vice Chairman at Mastercard, where they spearheaded a number of initiatives to create meaningful public-private partnerships around the world. Much of the work has centered on financial inclusion: bringing basic financial products to the 2 billion people without access today. Walt founded the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and acted as its Chairman. The Center combines research and direct philanthropy and looks for the best ways to drive inclusive growth economies.

From 2008 to 2011, Walt was the President of International Markets at Mastercard, and was responsible for the company’s business in over 200 countries. Prior positions at Mastercard included President of the Americas and of Canada.

Before their time at Mastercard, Walt was the Executive Vice President, Cards & Collection at CIBC from January 2004 to December 2006. Prior to that, they worked in Retail & Investment Banking at TD from January 1983 to December 2001.

Walt Macnee completed a Bachelor of Education at Queen's University, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences also from Queen's University. Walt then went on to earn their MBA in Finance and Marketing from York University.
