Dipo Omobomi is a Nigerian engineer and entrepreneur. Dipo is the co-founder and current Chief Operating Officer of Paystack, a Nigerian fintech company that provides payment solutions for merchants and businesses.

Omobomi graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in Civil Engineering. Dipo began their career as an intern with Epitech Engineering in 2010 and went on to intern with Mafek Engineering in 2012. In 2014, they began working with the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure as a civil engineer intern. Dipo was responsible for conceptualizing designs for proposed projects, supervising construction work on site, and producing reports for various projects across the state.

In 2016, Omobomi left their position at the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to join KBL Insurance as a risk surveyor/product development specialist. In this role, they were responsible for assessing risks involved in insuring various subject matters, negotiating settlements with clients and third parties, and reviewing and improving insurance policies. Dipo also created strategies for penetrating new insurance markets.

In 2018, Omobomi left KBL Insurance to co-found Paystack with Shola Akinlade. Paystack is a Nigerian fintech company that provides payment solutions for merchants and businesses. The company has since raised over $8 million in funding from investors such as Y Combinator, Sequoia Capital, and Stripe.

Dipo Omobomi has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Sheffield, a Foundation degree in Engineering & Sciences from Oxbridge Tutorial College, and a High School diploma in Sciences from Olashore International School.
