Tomi Adesina

Tomi Adesina is a business professional with experience in human resources, finance, and strategy and operations. Tomi is currently employed at Paystack, a Nigerian startup that provides easy and secure online payments for merchants and consumers.

Adesina began their career as an intern at Swiss Re, one of the world's leading reinsurance companies. Tomi gained experience in sales, marketing, and business case development before moving on to Leadway Assurance Company Limited, where they worked in the finance department. There, they were part of a team that processed over 50 claim settlements per day and helped to set up the finance team for a new subsidiary of the company.

In 2018, Adesina returned to Swiss Re as an intern in the Strategy and Operations department for the Middle East and Africa region. In this role, they assisted with the development of sales strategies and client engagement plans. Tomi also designed marketing tools and drafted business cases for strategic initiatives.

Adesina's most recent experience is in human resources, where they worked as a consultant for HRmadam Consulting. In this role, they provided advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures to clients in a variety of industries.

Paystack hired Adesina in 2019 to help grow their business. In their current role, they are responsible for identifying new sales opportunities and developing relationships with potential clients. Tomi is also working on expanding Paystack's merchant base by providing support and training on using the platform.

Tomi Adesina has a BA (Hons) in Business & Management from the African Leadership University, a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Glasgow Caledonian University, and a Bachelor of Science - BS in Economics from the University of Ibadan. Tomi also has a high school diploma in Business/Commerce, General from Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary. Finally, they have a certification from LinkedIn in 5 Personal Finance Tips.
