Florida Estrella

Florida Estrella has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Florida started their career as a Software Developer at CERN in 1996 and gradually moved up the ladder, taking on roles such as Technical Project Manager, Technical Supervisor, Project Manager, and Deputy Project Director. Florida worked at CERN until June 2013.

In 2002, Florida joined the University of the West of England as a Research Fellow, where they worked until May 2005.

After their tenure at the university, Florida joined Filmetrics Corporation in July 2013 as a Solutions Director and remained in that role until May 2019.

Currently, Florida is serving as the Head of the Project Management Department at PayTabs since October 2019.

Florida Estrella has an extensive education history in the field of computer science and related areas. Florida obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from the University of the West of England in 2001. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Parallel Computer Systems from the same university in 1997.

In 1995, Florida obtained another MSc degree, this time in Electrical Engineering and Data Communications, from the University of the Philippines. Florida had previously completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines in 1992.

In addition to their academic degrees, Florida also holds certifications in various areas. Florida has obtained certifications in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) from the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) institution, Operational Risk Management from The Institute of Operational Risk (IOR), and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
