Jorge Vélez

Jorge Vélez is an experienced executive with a robust background in operational management and strategic development. Since March 2011, Jorge has served as CEO of Payvalida, a payments gateway that facilitates cash, debit, and credit transactions for online merchants in Latin America, focusing on enhancing company competitiveness and profitability. Prior to this role, Jorge was the Infrastructure Strategic Business Unit Manager at Independence Contract Drilling, where responsibilities included leading manufacturing processes and managing human talent to achieve organizational goals. Earlier experience includes serving as Plant General Manager at Cristalería Peldar S.A., overseeing all aspects of container production. Jorge holds an MBA from Universidad de La Sabana and has completed a negotiation strategies workshop at Harvard Business School, along with specialization in international business and a degree in production engineering.
