Jason Yu has a diverse work experience, starting as a Lifeguard at the City of Markham in 2017. In 2018, they joined the University of Waterloo Robotics Design Team as an Electrical Team Member. In 2019, they became a Power Systems Core Member at WATonomous and also worked as a Data Analyst at TritonWear. In 2020, they worked as a Software Developer Intern at Cerence Inc. and as a Core OS Software Development Student at BlackBerry QNX. In 2021, they were an Android Developer at Accedo.tv. In 2022, they interned as an Android Engineer at Wish and later joined Extend as an Android Engineer Intern. Starting in 2023, they continued their career at Extend as an Android Engineer.
Jason Yu attended Markham District High School from 2014 to 2018. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Waterloo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechatronics Engineering with an option in Artificial Intelligence. Jason is expected to graduate from the university in 2023.
