Michael Schock has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael started their career in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate, where they supervised a work center and provided leadership and guidance to junior associates. After their military service, Schock worked as a Software Test Engineer Intern at Honeywell Commercial Aviation Products, where they designed and maintained system tests for vital aviation components. Michael then joined Fujifilm as a Computer Engineer/Programmer, where they provided primary support for production and warehouse systems, implemented system and process improvements, and managed a site-wide source code repository.
In 2011, Schock joined Eagle River Solutions as a Software Architect and Senior PHP Developer, where they played a key role in building SAAS applications and designing web services for the ERS Point of Care Medical Workflow management tool. Michael then moved to GeneAlign, LLC as a Senior Software Engineer, Architect, and Chief Technical Officer, leading the development of genetic processing and reporting tools. Currently, Schock is working at Payzer as a Senior Application Developer.
In between various roles, Schock also founded their own company, Schock Consulting LLC, where they specialized in providing consulting services to businesses making the switch to cloud-based infrastructure using a LAMP stack. Michael worked with small to medium-sized businesses, implementing LAMP stack systems and developing a LAMP-based system called Arolyte for secure data transmission.
Michael Schock attended St. Cloud State University from 1994 to 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Optics.
