Kai Ping Lew has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2012, they began working as a Peer Tutor at Auckland University of Technology. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Sales Assistant at Quiksilver. In 2016, they joined TVNZ as an Assignments Co-ordinator and later became an Online News Producer. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at Techday Network in various roles including Editor-in-Chief, News Editor for Techday Labs and Security, and News Editor for the business section. Currently, since 2020, they hold the position of Commercial Marketing Manager at PB Tech, where they previously worked as a Commercial Marketing Lead and a Marketing Specialist. Kai Ping Lew's education history begins in 2011 when they enrolled at Auckland University of Technology. They pursued a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and completed their studies in 2015. During this time, they also attended Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole in 2015 for International Television Reporting, although no degree was specified. Following that, in 2015, Kai Ping Lew returned to Auckland University of Technology and obtained another Bachelor's Degree, this time in Communications, which they completed in 2016.
In addition to their formal education, Kai Ping Lew has also obtained two additional certifications. In September 2015, they received a Second Dan Black Belt from the World Taekwondo Headquarters (Kukkiwon). More recently, in March 2022, they completed a Digital Storytelling Workshop offered by the Marketing Association.
