Chelsie Pope

Associate Director, Publicity (primetime)

Chelsie Pope, MPS, currently serves as the Associate Director of Publicity for Primetime programs at PBS since November 2021, where responsibilities include publicizing primetime initiatives and digital content. Prior experience includes serving as Communications Manager for the Pro Football Retired Players Association, overseeing external communications and media relations from August 2019 to November 2021. Previous roles encompass Account Executive at Hager Sharp, Multimedia Communications Associate at Venture Philanthropy Partners, and Pro-Bono Communications Consultant for the American Film Institute's AFI DOCS Film Festival. Chelsie began professional development as a Communications Assistant at Georgetown University and has held various internships in marketing and communications since 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from The University of Southern Mississippi.
