Dave Parker is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in broadcasting and content creation. Currently, Parker serves as the Host and Creator of "Discover" at CBS News and Stations since May 2023, with a new season set to air in March 2024. As a Host and Creator of "Virginia Found" at PBS since September 2021, Parker is responsible for filming, editing, and writing each episode. Previous roles include Radio Host at Sinclair Communications and Program Director at US106.1, as well as a Columnist for Coastal Virginia Magazine. Parker has a strong background in meteorology, having served as Chief Meteorologist at both WTKR-TV and WOWK TV, along with earlier experience at WSLS Newschannel 10. Parker holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communications from Radford University and a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
