David Matias

David Matias is a seasoned broadcast professional with extensive experience in network operations and quality control. Currently serving as a Network Operations Center Technician at the Public Broadcasting Service since September 2016, David provides operational support for PBS distribution systems and broadcast operations. Prior to this role, David worked as a Master Control Operator at Discovery Communications from May 2005 to July 2016, where responsibilities included ensuring quality control for programming broadcasted across multiple feeds in various countries. Earlier experience as a Master Control Operator at Brooklyn Community Access Television involved managing on-air transmissions and quality assurance. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from the City University of New York-Brooklyn College, earned between 1997 and 2001.
