Gary Piattoni

Gary Piattoni is the President of Gary Piattoni, Inc. since February 2002, specializing in full service appraisals for art, antiques, and collectibles, with a focus on IRS estate tax and noncash charitable contributions. Piattoni has been an appraiser for the Emmy-nominated PBS series Antiques Roadshow since June 1996, analyzing furniture, science and technology, decorative arts, and militaria. Previous roles include Instructor at Northwestern University in the Fine and Decorative Art Appraisal and Connoisseurship program, Executive Vice President and founding member of Eppraisals.com, and Appraiser/Head of European Furniture and Decorative Arts at Christie's. Piattoni's educational background includes a Certificate in Appraisal Studies from New York University, an MFA in Sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BFA in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Chicago.
