James Buck is a seasoned multimedia professional with extensive experience as a humanitarian photographer for Project HOPE since October 2018, focusing on global health initiatives across continents. In addition to this role, James serves as a multimedia journalist for Seven Days, where skills in shooting and editing video are applied to a weekly web series. As a freelance photographer, James collaborates with local news outlets and educational institutions, while also contributing as an adjunct professor at St. Michael's College and Champlain College, teaching courses in multimedia reporting and web development. James has held positions at PBS MediaShift DigitalEd, and has experience with the Syrian American Medical Society, capturing the challenges faced by refugee communities. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Near and Middle Eastern Studies and a Master's degree in Photojournalism from the University of California, Berkeley, along with a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Literature from Colgate University.
