Sumner Menchero

Sumner Menchero currently serves as Project Director for PBS's upcoming film, THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, collaborating with notable directors Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. As the Principal and Founder of Menchero Creative Consulting, Sumner provides strategic support to various public media organizations, nonprofits, and content creators, offering services in leadership consultation, communications, editorial evaluation, research, and grant writing. With nearly two decades of experience at the Public Broadcasting Service, Sumner held multiple leadership roles, including Senior Director of Programming Operations & Strategy, where strategic partnership and operational support were key responsibilities. Educational credentials include a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from the University of Virginia and an MA in Film & Video/Screenwriting from American University, alongside a BA in History/Film & Photography from Hollins University.
